This one works the muscles that you need for saving it if you get caught on the inside ski.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 237px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_F03U28TQrUg/TJ1O5IKIpQI/AAAAAAAAAFQ/fCuFUaEYXBg/s320/lille_1-1-1+lateralkryds-overstepup-bev.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5520655461575599362" />

(photos from the dvd Skiing - Get Fit To Hit The Slopes)

Exercise description: Lateral crossover step-up
Stand beside the box. Take a step up with the foot farthest away from the box, crossing it in front of the other leg and up onto the box. Step through and lift the other leg up behind until you stand straight and balanced on the step up foot. Squat down a little on that one leg once before you bring the other foot back down on the floor and finally bring the first foot back down to starting position.
To make this exercise more demanding, grab a soft weight in your hands and hold it in front of you with your arms slightly bent throughout the exercise.

Ski Fitness Motivator

Here is another little ski video that might get you motivated to make time fo some ski fitness training to get ready for skiing this winter.
